Joe's Story:

Industry veteran, Joe Herron, brings 20 years of experience in retail tenant representation and in the leasing of retail commercial property. Prior to his time at Caton Commercial, Joseph Herron was instrumental in the pre-leasing of various power centers from initial inception to construction within the Chicago area’s newest suburban retail corridors. Joseph Herron has also successfully represented several retail tenants in executing their expansion efforts throughout the city of Chicago and its suburbs. Some of his past clients have included Dunkin Donuts, American Sale, Macy’s Inc., Bridgestone/Firestone, and Buona Restaurants, as well as numerous other retail concepts. From negotiating over 200 retail leases in excess of 20,000 SF to implementing Red Robin’s urban concept multiple store roll-out as they tested their first units in downtown Chicago, Joe Herron serves as a knowledgeable resource to Caton Commercial’s team and clients.

Joseph Herron has also created and currently manages a national broker network focused on corporate disposition efforts on behalf of 7-Eleven, Inc. in 45 states. He has effectively aided several other retailers including Costco and Toys R Us in the disposal of closed or closing locations.

Prior to becoming a real estate broker, Joe spent 10 years serving on active duty in the United States Air Force and is a veteran of the Gulf War. Joe has also been a commercial broker with Mid-America Real Estate Corporation for ten years, and with Lee & Associates for seven years. Joe was Caton Commercial’s Broker of the Year for 2018.
