Bill's Story:

Founder of Caton Commercial Real Estate Group, Bill Caton’s background in the service industry spans more than 40 years: Teacher, Realtor, Broker/Owner, CEO/Partner. Caton Commercial has commercial brokers with expertise in leasing, sales, investments, property management, and 1031 exchanges, covering all commercial asset classes including retail, land, office, industrial, and multi-family.

Bill Caton believes in personalized, quality service based on experience that brings value to his clients. Under his direction, Caton Commercial has taken a leading role in helping shape communities where they do business to become ideal places to live, work, and prosper through Caton Commercial Real Estate Group’s commitment to positive change, communication, and diligent research.

Bill Caton specializes in commercial development, farmland sales, 1031 exchanges, and commercial and industrial leasing and sales. He lists and sells hotels, commercial land, farms, retail centers, and commercial lots. More recently, Bill has been working in the area of multi-family master leasing and sales. He has developed a platform for innovative international concepts wishing to expand their operations into the United States.

Bill Caton is Past President and a Board Member of the Northern Illinois Commercial Association of Realtors and is on the NICAR Board of Directors. Bill was the Charter Chairman of NICAR’s Commercial Global Business Council. In addition, Bill is part of the Illinois Realtors (IR) where he has served as Chairman of the Commercial/Industrial/Investment Committee and IR Global Committee. Bill is currently a member of the Global Working Group, the Public Policy & Government Affairs Member Involvement Group, and is a major investor in the REALTORS Political Involvement Committee.

Bill has served two terms as President of the Plainfield Rotary, and is a founding member of the Kiwanis Club of Plainfield. Additionally, Bill is an on-going member of the Plainfield Chamber of Commerce for Economic Development Council, a member of the Chicago Farmers Association, Will County Farm Bureau, and the Illinois Society of Professional Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers. He is an investor and past board member of Will County Center for Economic Development Council.
