Harvey Ahitow

Harvey Ahitow serves as the Senior Leasing Associate of Caton Commercial Real Estate Group. As the leading commercial real estate company in the Southwest Chicagoland Region, Caton Commercial Real Estate Group serves one of the fastest growing areas in the nation. Residing in and servicing Will, Grundy, DuPage, Kendall, Kane, and surrounding counties for the past twenty years, Caton Commercial understands the needs of the investor, the business owner, the farmer, and the broker. 

Ahitow began his 20-year commercial real estate career with Successories, Inc. as Vice President of Real Estate in 1987. From 1987 to 1995, Successories opened 200 retail stores in 20 states and 5 countries.

In 1996, Ahitow joined Landay & Heyman--a Chicago-based real estate development/management company. Serving as Senior Leasing Representative from 1996 to 2000 for Landay & Heyman, Ahitow managed the leasing activities for the company`s portfolio of retail real estate.

In 2000 to 2007, Ahitow served as The Mills Corporation Senior Leasing Director. The Mills portfolio is comprised of two distinctive types of assets…20 regional malls and 15 traditional mills properties… totaling over 45 million square feet of gross leasable area. A traditional Mills property typically comprises over a one- million gross leasable area and has a combination of traditional mall, outlet center, big box retailers, and entertainment uses, all focused on value to the consumer. These assets are well located in major metropolitan markets, have considerable consumer brand equity and large made areas, and generate significant total sales volumes.

Ahitow resides in Hinsdale, IL with his wife Nancy (Prentice) and has 2 married sons living in downtown Chicago.
